| Cooking Sunday breakfast for one or two becomes a pleasurable task with this compact waffle maker. Red and green lights indicate when to add batter and when the 7-inch round waffle is done. A regulating thermostat and a five-setting control produce waffles perfectly browned to personal preference. With a brushed stainless-steel exterior and sleek design, the waffle maker looks elegant in any kitchen and stores upright in compact spaces. The nonstick round plate is divided into four quarters and wipes clean easily. This classic waffle maker measures 8 by 9-1/2 by 3 inches, and comes with a three-year warranty against defects. --Ann Bieri |

The best waffle maker on the market! |

| I've owned three or four waffle makers and none of them compare to the quality of this gem from Cuisinart. If you're picky about waffles--and why shouldn't you be?--then spend a little extra on this model and get effortless results. Here's what makes this a GREAT wafflemaker: 1) An accurate thermostat--no surprises when you open the lid I am genuinely thrilled with my Cuisinart waffle maker and I believe it's an absolute bargain. If you're used to spending big bucks on store-bought waffles--or if you have a cheap, junky waffle maker at home--treat yourself to this nice little unit. It's a low-cost luxury. Plus, you'll have a fun time making waffles (and impressing your family and friends!). Bon appetit! |
Consistent waffling |

| Update: Daily use, keeps going and turns out excellent waffles.
I mentioned below that waffle batter can be stored in the fridge. Try leaving it out overnight. The batter turns slightly sour, and still makes great waffles, but with a sourdoughish flavor that is pure heaven with maple syrup. And you can make some and leave it next to the waffle iron the previous night so all you have to wait for in the morning is for this waffle maker to heat up. Interesting that this product is getting polarized reviews. Either very good or terrible. Here's my experience and then comments others might find useful. - I made a batch of chocolate waffles to freeze (to reheat and serve with ice-cream). All 14 turned out perfect. Before that, I made 7 regular waffles that came out GBD - Golden Brown and Delicious. All I did was follow the light and use settings from 3 to 4. - Going back and forth to get my preferred color was easy because 3 was still 3 after going to 4 (and a bit more). The initial and subsequent uses didn't cause variations in the color. Good design. - Wiped all of it clean with a wet kitchen napkin. Easy. - Miles ahead of my last waffle iron, which required a lot of guessing and waffle rejection. - DON'T open the lid until you see the ready light. Or bye bye waffles. They do not like to be disturbed until ready. - A good recipe is important. Don't use pancake mix, which is simply a combination of the dry ingredients formulated for pancakes and not waffles. Besides it's a rip-off, like selling $1 unglazed tile as a $20 pizza stone. - Here's my adaptation of a Good Eats recipe: 2 cups all purpose flour, tsp baking powder, half tsp baking soda, tsp salt, 3 tablespoons sugar. Whisk together thoroughly. Combine 1/2 qt whole buttermilk or pint full fat yogurt + pint milk and 2/3 stick melted butter and pour into dry stuff. Mix with rubber spatula for ten seconds (don't overmix, small lumps will be ok). Leave for about 5-10 min. Turn on waffle iron, spray plates with pam or similar spray. Drop two ice-cream scoop-sized blobs slightly behind the middle and let the lid down. Setting: 3-4. Remove when green light comes back on. Easy. Excess can be stored overnight in an airtight box in the fridge. If I could wish for anything more, it would be for a ready light that was visible from the far end of my long kitchen. The light is designed to be in sight of a normal height person doing other stuff nearby. I have a long kitchen so the light is barely visible from my sink on the other side. Since then I've been listening for the "click" that flips the red light to the green. |
Great waffler |

| I am so surprised by the negative reviews of this product. We've had this waffler for a year now and have used it A LOT. I'd estimate 75 times- usually once or twice a week. We've never had a problem with sticking and the waffler is going strong. The waffles turn out great, every time. One thing to consider, waffles require you to use oil in the batter. It's what gives them the nice crispy golden brown outside, and I imagine it helps with the sticking too. Now, I've never encountered a waffle recipe that doesn't call for oil, but it makes me wonder if those who have problem with sticking are simply using pancake batter??? We tried other wafflers with our regular batter recipe and the results were awful- heavy and dense. This waffler makes a nice light waffle. The selector really works to get the desired done-ness, it's a great feature and we've found the results to be very reliable. In short, we think this is a great product. Our experience with other wafflers indicates they're not all created equal, and this one is quite a good model. We like ours so much we've completely stopped making pancakes! |
Love it |

| I don't understand all the negative reviews for this product. I've had it for a couple months and love it.
First, it does get hot. Duh!! It's a waffle iron! I admit I burned myself the first time I used it...you just have to be careful with it, like with your stove, your knives, and all the other dangerous things in your kitchen. Second, I spray it with Pam before each waffle and have had ZERO problems with things sticking. Third, make sure to use no more than or less than the amount of batter suggested in the Cuisinart manual/recipe book. Some cookbooks just assume your waffle iron holds a certain amount of batter and using their amounts will lead to a big mess. Fourth, it cooks waffles very fast. The middle heat setting seems best to me. The only problem I have is that it's hard to clean all the little holes, but I think that would be a problem with any waffle iron. Overall, I love this thing. It's not fancy, but it gets the job done very well. |
Great, easy to use, easy to clean |

| This is a fantastic waffle maker! I purchased a Belgian waffle maker a while ago, not quite realizing what it was. After many burned-on-the-outside-and-raw-in-the-middle attempts with that one, I decided to go out and buy this one.
* I LOVE the temperature sensor! The green light comes on when it's ready too cook and when the waffles are done. Just to experiment, I tried it on each setting, and it's very consistent and accurate. * It's very easily nonstick. I just poke at the edge and slide a spatula under it and it slips right off. I cannot fathom why so many bad reviews state their waffles are sticking to it. Bad recipes, maybe? * It wipes clean and stores easily! The only "con" I might have is that the top does get very hot, so be cautious about touching it, and definitely keep tiny fingers away! |
Delightful Product |

| We have operated this product for 6 months and find it an excellent waffle maker. For the money, it is a definite BUY. Very easy to use. Yes, it's hot! Of course it's hot, it's a waffle iron! However, we find that it is safe to use if you only touch the handle when opening and closing the iron. Set on No. 3 as the instructions recommend, all the waffles are perfectly cooked and browned. We don't measure the batter. How much to use is self teaching. If too much is added, it will tend to try to overflow the excess outside the iron. But if you watch for a few seconds and see the top of the iron lifting, simply lift a little on the handle to stop the overflow. The excess batter will solidify without overflowing within seconds.
When cooking is done, be sure unplug the cord from the electrical socket and open up the iron to cool. It will cool to the touch in about 15-20 minutes. If the iron is left closed during cooling, it may take more than an hour to cool. The iron is as easy to clean as any waffle iron. We certainly don't wash the iron. We use a piece of a wooden popsicle stick and a paper towel to remove the traces of oil following cooking. The stick is cut in half longways to create a sharp corner on the ends. Put the towel on the grid, press down gently with the sharp end of the modified stick and push or pull the stick along on top of the towel to remove the oil in a particular channel on the grid. Then transfer the towel to the next channel and press down with the stick on a clean part of the towel to clean the channel. Takes about 5 minutes to remove nearly all the oil. Store the iron in that condition. A nice feature is that no matter which side of the grid is facing up, the iron will stand open on its own to allow easy access for cleaning. |

| I have no idea why anyone has a problem with this waffle maker. I've made them with Pam sprayed on and without and nothing ever sticks. It's so easy to use. Waffles are done in what seems like a blink of the eye. I can't recommend it highly enough! |
Great little waffle iron for the price |

| I didn't expect too much from this waffle iron due to it's size and the price, but I have to admit I was surprised at how well it makes waffles. There's no guess work with how long will it take as the light indicates the waffle is ready. Waffles are always perfectly done. I've found the 3 setting works good for us. I love that it's compact and easy to store as we have a lot of kitchen gadgets and I'm running out of space.
With any waffle iron there will be the occasional overspill--even top of the line professional grade. I found clean up to be quick and easy with this one. Also as far as it getting hot...well yes it does. How else are you suppose to make waffles? You need a good hot iron to make them. Just as I don't allow my kids around other kitchen appliances, knives, etc, the same is true with this product. I use Pam cooking spray to prevent the waffles from sticking and it works good. Cleaning tip: Try the George Foreman grill sponge to clean it. Works great for me and it gets into the crevices easily. |

| I got this waffle maker for Christmas and have used it about 5 times now. I have been very impressed with the build quality. It cleans very easily and the brushed stainless steel exterior looks impressive. My favorite feature is the automatic thermostat. Set the thermostat to the desired darkness and the waffle maker tells you when the waffle is done (the little light turns green). You get exactly the right color every time. |
Waffles like Mom Used to Make |

| This is the best waffle iron I have ever owned. It is very reasonably priced and I have not had one waffle stick (and I never sprayed anything on it!). If you simply follow the 1/2 cup batter directions you will have perfect waffles every time! I definitely recommend this waffle maker for those of you that enjoy traditional round waffles. I prefer them much better than belgian waffles. |
"Great" waffles |

| I purchased 2 of these waffle irons for my daughter and daughter-in-law for gifts. Two years later they are still working great. Matter of fact they are so good that I am now buying one for myself. It takes a couple of times to get the quantity of batter just right , but I usually put a old newspaper under it for any overflow. Still the waffle iron cleans up with a damp paper towel and leaves no mess. The indicator buttons are a big plus to let you know when the iron is hot to add the batter. Makes waffles perfect every time. I use the Aunt Jemina buttermilk pancake and waffle mix. Just follow the directions for waffles. Its a no-brainer. |
Amazing! |

| It's amazing! A little green light comes on when it's ready. A green light comes on when the waffles are done. I'm like that old guy in the IBM ad, the one that thinks the security is in the blinky light, and he's talking with the IT guy. You know, he thinks the IT expert is trying to stun him with techno-babble? Well, I haven't burnt myself, I haven't burned a waffle, and I have no expertise with appliances. If it works for me, it will likely work for you. It also matches my Cuisinart coffeemaker. |
It makes good waffles |

| I was going to buy that stylish iron that Alton Brown made famous, but Amazon does not carry them at this time. Thought about looking elsewhere, despite having a $25 Amazon gift card, but that model makes Belgium style waffles, while the Cuisinart makes the thinner conventional style.
Hmmm, actually I don't actually like the fluffy soft style in cookies or waffles. Went with the Cuisinart. Only cost me $5 (!) as I have Prime shipping. I am happy with the results. The thermostat actually works and you get consistent crispiness. Doesn't take too long. Doesn't stick (see below). Easy as possible to clean. The waffles are great. They are now a Sunday tradition and will fuel guests during the holidays. I would rather make waffles than deal with the cook to order holiday breakfast requests. The quality of your efforts will depend on the actual recipie, rather than the machine, and that is good. I wanted to make that Alton Brown-based mix, but ended up using Bob's Red Mill brand as it has both white and whole wheat flour, baking soda and powder and dried buttermilk. You add oil and eggs and water or liquid buttermilk, which is what I do. This is a good recipie and silmilar to Brown's and several reviewers'. I tried butter instead of oil, but that was not so successful. Now I use canola oil and save the butter for the topping. Overflow is always an issue with waffle irons as the mix expands when heated. I pour in about 1/4 cup and spread it out with a spatula so that it just fills in the channels, up to the top of the peaks and no more. I tried the 1/2 cup suggestion, but had to clead up a lot of overflow and I do not like the idea of any liquid in the thermostat area for obvious reasons. It is easier to add a little mix than to remove an excess. The easy way to finish them off is to fill a measuring cup with butter and maple syrup in a ratio and quality of your choice and melt it together. Sticking is an issure for many with this and all irons. I give a quick spray of Pam to start and spread it around with a paint brush. Don't try to spray the whole thing as everything near and far will be covered with oil. Doing this once seems to work all morning. Staying above 3 on the thermostat and not using butter in the mix is helpful as well. This made all of my waffles pop out easily. Cleaning is done with a towel and because nothing sticks, that isn't so hard. Storing it on end is great, although I haven't figured out how to plug it into itself to stow the cord. I think the cord is an inch too short for that feature to work. I can recommend the Cuisinart based on its performance so far. Only time will tell if it will last. All product forums are filled with complaints about things that break and that always makes me paranoid when I read those reviews. |
Excellent Waffle Maker !!! |

| In short, this is one great waffle maker. For the price it can't be beat. I own the $350 Kitchen Aid Pro-line waffle maker and this one beats it hands down. It heats up in minutes and is ready to make the next waffle WITHOUT a recovery period. If you are looking to make a Waffle House-type waffle this one is for you (round and about 1/2" thick). You won't be dissapointed with this one. I am online to purchase a second one to make two waffles at the same time. |
Great waffle iron |

| After reading some of the other reviews I must defend this fine product. This iron works extraordinarily well. If waffles are sticking, spray a little Pam and as for complaints about safety, well duh, it gets hot. This iron preheats and cooks quickly. Heat is evenly distributed and cooking is consistent. If you can be trusted with matches you will have no trouble with this great value in a simple waffle iron. |
GREAT NON-STICK WAFFLER |

| I GOT THIS ON SALE IN A DEPT STORE. OTHER REVIEWERS SAY NOT TO USE A PANCAKE MIX. I USED AUNT JEMIMA COMPLETE PANCAKE MIX BECAUSE THERE IS A RECIPE FOR WAFFLES. THE MAIN DIFFERENCE IS THE ADDED OIL. I TRIED IT AND THE WAFFLES TURNED OUT FINE. MAYBE SOME PEOPLE WHO COMPLAINED ABOUT DRIPPING FROM THE SIDE DIDN'T ADD OIL AND THE MIX WAS TOO WATERY. I OILED IT BEFORE FIRST USE AND USED PAM AFTER THAT FOR EACH 1/2 CUP OF MIXTURE. I USED THE 3&4 SETTING AND BOTH TURNED OUT FINE. I HAD NO PROBLEMS WITH SPILLAGE OR STICKING. REMOVED THEM WITH RUBBER SPATULA. MY SON TASTED THEM AND LIKE THEM WITHOUT EVEN PUTTING ON SYRUP! I'M LOOKING FORWARD TO EXPERIMENTING WITH OTHER MIXES AND RECIPES(MINI CHOCOLATE CHIPS, YUM). FOR NOW THE AUNT JEMINA PANCAKE AND WAFFLE COMPLETE MIX WILL DO SINCE I HAVE 2 BIG BOXES TO USE. DON'T THINK I WILL BE MAKING TOO MANY PANCAKES NOW. CLEAN UP IS EASY WITH A PAPER TOWEL BUT I ALSO USED A Q-TIP TO CLEAN IN BETWEEN. |

| I bought this waffle maker for my wife last Christmas as a stocking stuffer. She LOVES IT!!! Perfect waffles everytime, and so easy too. At least one day per weekend she makes up a batch of waffles for the entire family. Freezes what we don't finish and my daughters just drop them in the toaster for breakfast during the week. Clean-up could be easier. |

| I have had this waffle maker for almost 2 years now and have purchased one for my mother also. It is still working perfectly. I am always amazed at how quickly and evenly it cooks the waffles. Occasionally waffles start to stick a bit, but I just brush on a little oil as is suggested in the user's guide and it's good to go for another 5 or 6 uses. |
